Back for More

It's been forever since I have updated, so if there is anyone still reading this is a little of what we have been up to.

We got this fort from Cranium.
The kids LOVE it! Boots can easily construct all sorts of cool things all by himself. The pieces are magnetic and very user friendly, so hours of enjoyment would not be a trite saying here!

I found a whole new obsession in Nigella Lawson books! In particular this book:
In which, she has a recipe for Emergency Rice Pudding, which we tried,
It was worth every calorie laden spoonful! And I didn't even curse her name as I was on the elliptical for that hour straight!

We celebrated this beautiful woman's 85th birthday! She is amazing, and lovely and I cannot begin to tell you what she means so me!
We learned how to make homemade marshmallows, from Ina Garten, better known as the Barefoot Contessa.
They were perfect pillows of marshmallowy goodness, and I am going to have to say I am going to have a hard time buying those bags full of rubbery stuff at the grocery store now that I know what they can taste like fresh! And Boots pretty much made these all by himself. It was that easy.

We played catch and rode scooters with our cousins...
Boots found out the joys of bubble beards!
And last but certainly not least we received mail from Hong Kong!
Since some of the Scooby Doo gang figures that Boots plays with all of the time have become casualties to the puppies, an arm here, a part of a foot there, we went on a hunt to find new ones. This was much harder than you would think. There are ALOT of figures out there but not the ones we needed. We finally found them on E-bay. And they arrived safe and sound from Hong Kong having cleared customs. The gang is back together again, and Boots couldn't be happier!
