Sleepover!
Last night due to the fact that it was 91 in my kitchen, we decided that the Little P and Boots should seek cooler shelter for sleeping. They ended up having a slumber party in the family room, they watched a movie and were much more comfortable sleeping tucked with their softie blankets. Little P has always called her blanket Softie, and for some reason refers to the blanket as a she, so when the time came that Boots asked for his own blanket, it was of course called a Softie.
After a much needed good nights rest for everyone, I took them to see Shrek 2 this morning.
It seemed like a great idea at the time, it was nice in the theater, and they had their snacks, but then two thirds of the way through Boots had had enough and decided it was time to go home. About half way home I had a fleeting memory of taking Little P to Shrek 2 when it came out in the theatre and leaving about 1/2 way through, for some reason. I wonder what it is about that movie that my kids can't seem to make it through....
We stopped at Target on the way home, and cruised by the toy section. They saw these Punch Balls, they came in packs of four.
So we brought them home, blew them up and they have been playing with them in the family room ever since, that is a lot of happiness for $1.99!
Since I have a shoe problem, I find and peruse the shoe section anywhere we go, you never know what you are going to find. And find I did, I found these ultra cute pink laceless sneakers in my size for a whopping $3.24. At times it pays to have small feet!
By the way, we did watch V For Vendetta last night, and I have to admit, I was very surprised. I knew that it would be good, but I wasn't aware of how good. And VERY original, I've never seen anything like it. We have decided to buy it, it was that good.
