We have Pupa....

The lady bugs are in the second stage of development, we waited and waited and waited for it and now we get to wait some more.
This stage is only a few days and then they emerge as Ladybugs. They normally eat Aphids, but since I didn't happen to have any of those lying around the recommended food for Ladybugs whom are held captive is raisins. How raisins and a nasty green bug that eats your trees are the same I will never know, but that is what we have ready for the big awakening.

I think I see the correlation with aphids and raisins (you know how I hate 'em!)

What a fun way to learn more about ladybugs!

Goose's ladybuys emerged the other day and she was ecstaitc to check their color daily. The get redder every day. After about 4 days of watchign them, she set them free in the backyard. In captivity they can live a week or so, once set froo about a year. She was giggling with delight as 4 ladybuts were crawling all over her outside, tickling her arms! It was adorable to watch.
